James Lenard Ross, 98 of Greenfield, Calif. passed away on March 20, 2024.

Lenard was preceded in death by his wife Ora Jean Ross. They were married 67 years and lived all their married life in Greenfield, Calif.

Lenard was born June 13, 1925 in Carrolton, Arkansas to Bessie and James C. Ross.  He lived there until he entered the Army, serving in World War II.

After his discharge from the Army Lenard moved to Greenfield and met his wife Jean.  They married after two months and began a family there.

Lenard and Jean's son, Kenneth was born in 1947 and now lives in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Ken has three boys: Gerrad Ross of Seward, Nebraska, Brad Ross of Clifton, Colorado, and Raymond Ross of Lincoln, Nebraska (wife, Alyson); Raymond has two daughters: Cali Ross and Lucy Ross, both of Lincoln Nebraska.

Lenard and Jean's daughter Patsy Ross, now Patricia Violette was born in 1950 and lives in Paso Robles, Calif.  Patricia has two sons, James McNulty (Jennifer) of Exeter, Calif. with two daughters, Sydney McNulty and Addison McNulty; son, Ryan McNulty (Stephanie) of Visalia Calif; five grandsons were always a handful, but lots to enjoy, teaching them fishing, hunting and camping. Then all girls for great granddaughters, four of them. Lots of squeals, kisses and love to share.

Dad, grandpa and papa will be missed, but we've all truly learned something special from him in our own way. He was an honest, hardworking man and is now at peace and with his loving wife, mom.  God will take care of them now.

A Graveside Service will be held, at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024 in the King City District Cemetery.
