IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Anthony
Decarli
January 17, 1990 – January 13, 2017
On January 13, 2017 our brother, uncle, son, cousin, nephew, and friend died in King City. He was born on January 17, 1990 in Salinas, California. He was 26 years old.
James worked as a cement mason and was striving to become a certified barber. He was passionate about cutting hair and he genuinely enjoyed treating his family and friends to a nice fresh cut. James was at ease when he was exploring the outdoors. He enjoyed going to Arroyo Seco and Santa Cruz simply to embrace the sound, sight and feeling of the rivers and ocean. He embraced weather that was overcast and would simply express feeling happy with the sight, feeling and memories it gave him: "memories of home."
James was a sports fanatic. He enjoyed watching and playing basketball. He was a die-hard Raider fan and he enjoyed watching the games. James collected several sports memorabilia over the years and he wore his Raider, Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors Jersey's, jackets, T-shirts and hats proudly.
James was survived by his two older brothers, whom he loved very much. All three brothers shared the middle name, Anthony, which linked them as brother-soul-mates. Thomas, his wife Lissette and daughter Bella Clara DeCarli all loved James very much. Bella's excitement as she exclaimed, "Tio James" was evident of her love for him. His second oldest brother Jacob, his wife Amanda and three children, Aiden, Isaiah and Aimee, also survived him. Jacob and James were often referred to as the "little guys," due to their inseparability and love for one another. James was also survived by, Bobby Mckee, who raised him since he was 4 years old. In addition, James was in love with his longtime girlfriend of 13 years, Angelica Ambriz.
