Obituary

Jim Bowen, 87, completed his journey when he went home to be with his Lord on March 9, 2013 after a long illness.

SERVICES:

A VISITATION is scheduled, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Eddington Funeral Services.

A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held, 1 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel.

BURIAL will follow at King City District Cemetery.

Jim was born in Kingston, Arkansas to John and Pearl Bowen, traveling to California as a young man to seek his fortune.

Jim and his wife, Lois, owned and operated Lois' Café and the Little Corner Café. Jim was also an accomplished wood craftsman, creating beautiful wood cabinets for many King City residents. He loved fishing, music, reading, gardening and his family- "the best grandpa ever," teaching, by example, so many wonderful life lessons. Jim was known as a man of great faith; serving as a deacon, Bible teacher and song leader for First Baptist Church, which he was instrumental in founding and building. Many were the recipients of his beautiful roses, or wonderful home-grown fruit, which he delighted in giving away. Jim's twinkling eyes, generous, gentle, quiet spirit and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Lois and son, John. He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Molinari (John), Sandy Evanko (Stanley). Grandchildren Nathanael Evanko (JunaLyn), John Molinari, Jason Molinari (Jasmine), Anna Molinari (James Mykytenko), great-grandson Tyler James Molinari, oldest sister, Gladys Bradshaw, and loving caregivers Patty and Rey Carmona.

Farewell Papa Tool...until we meet again!
