Mrs. Isabell Conner, 56 of King City passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital with her family at her side. She was born March 20, 1960 in Mexicali, Baja California.
She loved arts and crafts, antique shopping, going to flea markets, cooking for her family and friends, and also catering for special events. She enjoyed listening to her favorites such as Pepe Aguilar, Jose Jose, and Joan Sebastian. She devoted many hours volunteering within the community, most recently for the Monterey County food bank. She had a heart in serving elders and became a member of The Silver King and Queens of King City.
Izzy married Jason Conner on June 4, 1993. She started her medical career as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Rural Healthcare Project. She then worked for 25 years in various departments at George L. Mee Memorial Hospital and later as a private home health care provider. Her career was rooted from within her, her strong will and open heart kept her thriving. Everyone whom came in contact with her knew not smiling wouldn't be an option. She would make you smile and laugh effortlessly. One thing about Izzy, she loved her family very much. She believed, "All for One and One for All".
Survived by: Husband Jason, son Alfonso Miguel Saavedra, daughter-in-law Jill, daughters Brittany and Whittney Conner; brothers, Frank, Miguel, Marco, and Eddie Flores; sister Olga and brother-in-law Fiji Valerio; father-in-law, Jearl Conner; brother-in-law William, and sister-in-law Melody. Izzy is preceded in the death by her parents Miguel and Catalina Flores and mother-in-law Peggy Conner.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm on Friday, June 17, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2pm, Saturday, June 18, 2016. All services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St. in King City.
