On August 1, 2022 Ilene Craft (Aunt Ena) passed away peacefully in her Fremont home where she had lived for 40 plus years.  Ilene was born on September 11, 1953, in Pasadena, California

She enjoyed traveling with her friends and going wine tasting.  She was famous for her lemon bars and lemon merge pies during Christmas.  She enjoyed doing a holiday cookie exchange with her friends.  She was working on the ancestry of her family that dates back to 1800's to include the families in King City, Calif and Jolon, Calif.

Ilene graduated from King City High School, Class of 1971, then continued at Kaiser School of nursing in Oakland and graduated in 1975 as a Registered Nurse.  In the summer of 1973 she started her nursing career at George L. Mee Memorial Hospital in King City.  She then moved to Southern California to continue her education and worked for the Los Angeles County Hospital.  Ilene moved to the Bay Area in late 1970's and started working for Stanford Children's Hospital until Lucile Packard Children Hospital, Stanford was established in 1991. She was a Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse where she worked her way to management of the unit.  She received her master's from Phoenix University.  She later resigned from Lucile Packard Children Hospital and went to work for Catalyst Medical Consulting firm until her retirement in 2019.

Ilene is survived by her twin sister Jean (Jolly) King; nephews, Allen King, Dean (Sara) King; great nephews and nieces, Sierra (Jordan) Council, Halyn King, Dean King Jr.; brother, David Chubbic and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in the King City District Cemetery, 1010 Broadway, King City.
