Hugo A. Scattini, 82 of Greenfield passed away, Monday, December 31, 2012.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A VISITATION will take place from 2pm -4pm, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Greenfield, Calif.
A ROSARY SERVICE will be held, 4pm, Sunday, January 6, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
A FUNERAL MASS will be held 10am, Monday, January 7, 2013 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Hugo will be laid to rest following the mass at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Greenfield, Calif.
Hugo was born in Salinas, Calif. June 8, 1930. He grew up on the family farm in Greenfield and has been farming in Greenfield for over 60 years. He loved farming.
He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a member of the Salinas Elks, a founding member of the Salinas Valley Independent Growers, board member of the Greenfield Fire Protection District for over 40 years, board Member of the Greenfield Public Recreation District for over 30 years. He was a member of the Beet Growers Association and a Salinas Valley Fair Valley Heritage Foundation member.
Hugo is survived by his wife, Theresa Scattini; nephews, Michael J. (Vickie) Griva, Jon Scattini; nieces, Catherine O'Brien, Paula Parola; sister-in-laws, Jo Scattini, Flo Griva; Great nephews, Peter Griva, Timothy O'Brien, Joseph O'Brien, Jeffery Parola, Jonathan Parola; great nieces, Ashley Hallock, Nichole Griva, Rebecca Griva, Rachael Pali, Ann Parola, Julie Parola, Melissa Scrafini, Stephanie Gonzalez, Mary Lynn Osteraa, Victoria Scattini, Jessica Scattini and Lindsay Mount.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Mee Memorial Hospital, American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
