IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen
Banuelos
March 7, 1936 – March 30, 2021
Helen C. Banuelos, 85 of Greenfield passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 surrounded by the love of her children and sister. Helen was born March 7, 1936 in Lyford, Texas.
Helen was married to the love of her life, Martin Banuelos for 45 years. Together, they created a home filled with love and laughter. Family was her passion and nothing came before that. Whether you were biological or not, there was always room for more family. When the house became too loud and she needed solitude, she would always retreat to her beautiful garden. It was here where she would wear a Walkman, put on her headphones, listen to music and grow the most fantastic flowers. Such a lover of nature and the outdoors, it brought her peace up to the very end.
Helen worked at Basic American Foods as a Crew Leader. She retired after 35 years.
Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, volunteered for Greenfield Little League as far back as 1970 when she helped with the snack bar as her children played baseball. She also volunteered for the Lifeline Community Outreach Program, reaching out to the elderly or disabled.
Helen is survived by her sons, Martin, Thomas, and Peter Banuelos; daughters, Diana Hill (Steve), and Cynthia Conatser (Michael); grandchildren, Miriam Smith (Jordan), Dominick Roseli, Zoie and Zander Banuelos, Brandon and Mason Hill, and Jaci and Dylan Conatser; her sister, Mary Flores and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Esteban and Celestina Cano; her husband, Martin and siblings, Leo, Fred, and Joseph Cano.
A Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Greenfield. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
