Fleta Mae Andrade, 85 of King City passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born in Hollister at her grandmother, Annie Vanetti's home.
She was raised on the Vanetti Ranch in San Benito County. She attended Jefferson and Bitterwater Schools and graduated from King City High School. Fleta learned to sew at the age of 10 on a Treddle Singer Sewing Machine, which led to a lifetime of making clothing and later learned to quilt.
She was a member of the Valley Heritage Quilting Group, serving as Membership Chairman, working with the group to make comfort quilts to give to people in the community that needed a hug. She worked with Silver Kings and Queens on the travel agenda taking busloads of people to Reno and Laughlin gambling and to the Bay Area to enjoy the Theater Shows.
Fleta married Albert Andrade in 1955. Together they had 3 children, Adene Andrade, Alberta (David) Hicks, and Anthony Andrade; grandson, Jason (Tracy) Hicks, and granddaughter, Jenny (Wes) Hicks Blair; great grandchildren, Trey Hicks, Whitney Hicks, Boston Monroy and Brooklyn Monroy; step-great grandchildren, Sydney, Matthew, Brycee, Mateo, and Alivia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Abby" Andrade; her parents, Ernest and Josie Vanetti; brother, Ernest and his wife, Virginia Vanetti; brother, Francis "Bud" Vanetti. She leaves a sister, Shirley Rist.

A Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m., followed by a 6:00 p.m. Rosary Service on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Eddington Funeral Chapel, 429 Bassett St. in King City.
A Funeral Mass will be held, 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St. in King City.
Fleta will be laid to rest beside her husband in the King City District Cemetery
