Eva Mae Gillis, 94 of King City passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.

Before marriage she worked as a telephone operator.  She loved to dance and bake.  Eva married Leonard Wayne Gillis August 12, 1951.  They were married for 65 years. Together they raised 3 boys. She spent many years going on hunting trips with her husband.  She enjoyed crocheting blankets and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eva is survived by her husband, Leonard Gillis; her sons, Richard Gillis, Jack Gillis and their wives, Elia and Linda; grandchildren, Denise Maxwell and Kevin Gillis and Justin, Taylor, and Brendan Gillis, Laura Rigney LeCave and six great grandchildren.

Donations in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Friday, August 25, 2017 from 3pm to 7pm at the Pine Canyon  Mobile Home Estates Recreation Hall, 51201 Pine Canyon Rd. in King City.
