Eustaquio Zuñiga Nieto, 89 of King City passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was born on November 2, 1934 in San Rafael De Los Nieto, San Luis Potosi Mexico.

Eustaquio came to the United States & began working in South Texas at the age of 9, in order to help his family. At the age of 18 he began working in California as a Bracero. He first came to King City in September of 1954 at the age of 19. He continued working in agriculture as a tractor driver for the next 50 years with Crinklaw Farms, Edward Silveria, and Cal Coast Farms & last for SoMoCo Farms for the Frudden Family. On trips up to Salinas to his various medical appointments, he could point out every ranch he worked on & also tell you the name of the owner. He always talked about the beauty of The Salinas Valley & he took great pride in his work. He later became a U.S. Citizen. This is something he was extremely proud of.

Eustaquio enjoyed traveling to Mexico to visit family. He enjoyed visiting with close family friends & cherished the lifelong friendships he made throughout his life in King City. He enjoyed spending time with his family & especially his 2 grandkids Justin & Maisey. They were the biggest joy of his life.

Eustaquio is survived by his wife Maria Teresa Zuniga. They were married for 61 years.

He is also survived by his children Martin Zuniga, Emilia Zuniga, Francisco Zuniga (Theresa), & Geri Zuniga. He is survived by his grandchildren Justin Zuniga Martella & Lauren Maisey Rist.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Rosary Service will be held, 6pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Eddington Funeral Services, 429 Bassett St., King City.

A Funeral Mass will be held, 10am, Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third Street in King City.
