Esperanza Hope Garnica Partida, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, at the age of 95 in Oxnard California. She was born on August 20, 1929, in Fillmore California,
Hope is preceded in death by her father and mother Gonzalo and Maria Garnica, husband Carlos Partida, siblings Garnica's: Philip, Peter, Pascuala, Dolores, Annie, Jovita, David, Ray, Rosa, Gonzalo, Jr., Henry, and her daughter Rosanna and son Johnny, grandchildren Salvador and Adam.
Hope is survived by her daughters Mary Najera, Gloria Reyes, Dolores Eiquihua (Joe), Sandra Evangelista (Gabino), Linda Griego (Rick); sons, Frank, Richard, and Carlos Partida; sisters, Mary Lou Martella and Margie Hernandez. She is survived by 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Hope worked hard in the fields of Greenfield and lived in the Orchard Company for many years. Hope then worked for many years at Costa Farms and then in Santa Barbara at the Miramar Hotel and Peppertree Inn. She retired in Oxnard living with her daughter Dolores.
She loved dancing, shopping, ice cream and attending Santa Barbara Fiesta's, but her biggest love and happiness was being a large Los Angeles Dodger Fan. But she will be remembered by pulling the "trigger" meaning "her middle finger.".
She loved life and lived it well. Now Hope is back home in King City where she will be laid to rest. Hope's remarkable journey through life touched the hearts of many.
Hope will be remembered for her infectious smile, her boundless energy, her beautiful and fiery spirit as well as the indelible mark she leaves on the hearts of those she cherished.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held, 10am, Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third Street, King City. Burial will follow in King City Cemetery.
