Erlinda Montalvo George, 76, of King City, passed away at About Care in Seaside, CA, October 17, 2023.

Erlinda, or simply Linda to friends and family, is survived by her only daughter, Kelly Melano.

Linda was born on December 25, 1946 to Guadalupe Montalvo and Soledad Rivera. She was a devoted daughter who left school to care for her mother until her mother's passing and then found employment at Natividad Hospital in Salinas, CA where she worked for the next 30 years to eventually become lead cook in their kitchen department.

Towards the end of her employment at Natividad, she met and married Henry Dutra George in 1985 and resided in Salinas, CA before eventually finding and purchasing a ranch in King City, CA in 1995.

In the summer of 1993, they welcomed their only child, a daughter, and Linda would soon become an avid PTA volunteer, arranging and organizing small school events for King City Elementary School where she was appreciated and loved.

Linda enjoyed long scenic drives, new travel destinations and good action movies. She knew what hard work was and with her husband, they built up their ranch and enjoyed their days in the warm California sun until his passing, December 4, 2021 after 36 years of marriage. Her health quickly began to decline after her husband's passing and those who knew and loved her will miss her dearly.

A viewing will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, 429 Bassett Street in King City.
