Emma Elizabeth Brasier of King City passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the age of 100.  She was born December 22, 1922 in Yell County Arkansas.

She married Claud Brasier September 7, 1940 and were married for 54 years until his death in 1994.  Emma became a member of the Assemblies of God Church in 1951.  Over the years she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Release Hour, and served as Deacon for a time and volunteered at Mee Memorial Hospital for 6 ½ years.

Emma enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, talking to just about anyone, and loved to cook pies and stuffing.  She was a great mom.

Emma is survived by:

Daughters: Peggy Benson (husband, Ray) of Stockton, Janey Richards (husband, Mike) of Salinas;

Brother: Donald McCoy of Birta, Arkansas

Daughter-in-law: Terri Brasier of King City

Five grandchildren: Misti Varnell of Arkansas, Shannan Matthews of Hollister, Justin Brasier (wife, Sandra) of King City, Brandon Brasier of King city, Casey Yates of Salinas

Six great grandchildren: Lauren Varnell of Arkansas, Jasmine Brasier, Louie Benitez, Vanessa Brasier and Justin Brasier II all of King City, Tucker Matthews of Hollister

Several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews as well as cousins and their families.

She is preceded in death by her husband Claud; son, Tony; five brothers; one sister; and two sister-in-law's.
