Elva Piña, 55, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Elva was born August 16, 1959 in San Vicente Munguia, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Elva was a long time resident of the Monterey County and was employed by Mesa Packing for 34 yrs. She started off as a field worker in 1981, and after showing incredible hard work, she became a foreman. Then in 1984 she was moved to work into the office. Elva loved working in her garden on the weekends, sewing, baking, playing her guitar, and also took dancing lessons. Elva also was a civil minister for several years and joined many couples in marriage. Elva donated to St. Jude's Children Hospital and was involved in her church parish of St. John's Catholic Church.
Although you are no longer with us, always remember you will be loved for all the great things you did and all the smiles you put on our faces. You gave so much and expected nothing in return. You were a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. We will love and miss you forever!
She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Josefina Piña, brother, Adam Piña, sisters, Emma and Eva Piña, nephews, Robert Lizardi and Moises Perez Jr. (Baby Moi) and niece, Julie Lizardi.
She is survived by her children Tina Aguayo, Elva Martinez, Raquel Martinez and Paul Padilla, her siblings, Tony Piña Jr., Lilia Piña, Maria Elena Piña, Josie Lizardi, Charlie Piña, Maria Quiroz and Frank Piña., her grandchildren Rick Martinez, Andrea Martinez, Jazmine Silva, Genevieve and Nyana Sophia Gomez, and Apolo Littlejohn Martinez.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A VISITATION is scheduled 5pm to 7pm, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City.
A RECIETATION OF THE ROSARY is scheduled for 7pm, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church.
A FUNERAL MASS is Scheduled for 10am, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church.
