Elizabeth Libby Rivera

Elizabeth Libby Rivera was born on January 18, 1954, and passed away on August 21, 2026.

She was 72. She was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. She resided in Salinas, California for 44 years.

Her work history included agricultural laborer, office clerk, stylist, income tax preparer, and homemaker.

She earned an associate's degree in accounting from Hartnell College. While she was mentally prepared to pursue a career in Accounting, her body was debilitated by rheumatoid arthritis and she became disabled. She loved knitting, crocheting, and creating ceramics.

She is the mother of two sons: Michael Rivera, married to Lily Rivera, and David Ruiz, engaged to Patty Vigil. Elizabeth is the sister of Addie Gastelum-Ortiz, Reynaldo R. Gastelum, M. Rosario Gastelum Rocha, Martha Fernandez-Gutierrez, Jessie Gastelum Maples, Jesus Rodriguez Morales, and Emma Rodriguez. She was the daughter of Refugio Morales and Antonia Rodriguez. She was the grandmother of four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Emma. She will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Friday, September 4, 2026 from 10am to 2pm, at Eddington Funeral Chapel, 429 Bassett Street, Kingc City.
