Donald Wayne Wells, age 66 of Bradley, California passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home. Donald was born August 29, 1948 in Salinas, California.
Don attended Chualar Elementary School and was a 1966 graduate of King City Joint Union High School where he participated in football, basketball and track. He excelled in track and field where he participated in pole vaulting. He was the first athlete in the Central Coast High School League to jump 14 feet in pole vaulting. It was a record that remained on the King City High School Records Boards for many years.
After High School, Don served in the US Air Force for several years. Don then worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and retired after 15 years working for the Department of Defense.
Don competed and was an accomplished Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. He enjoyed cutting wood and providing it for many in the surrounding area. He also liked to garden. He had a passion for working on, restoring and collecting old cars. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time in the outdoors. Don always looked forward to going to the Annual Reno Airshows with his son Clell. He cherished his time at home and spending time with his family and friends. Don's smile and friendliness will be missed by all who knew him.
Don is survived by his son, Clell Wells and brothers, Stan Wells and JD Wells.

A Celebration of Don's life was held 2pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Lockwood Store Hungry Flats Stage, 67997 Jolon Road, Lockwood, Calif.
