Deceased: Donald (Don) R. Hicks
Don, 86, of King City passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Mee Memorial Hospital.
Don was born on January 1, 1925 in Hanford, CA. He moved to King City with his family at a young age. He served proudly with the United States Navy in World War II. After the war he returned to King City and became a respected auto and diesel mechanic at several dealerships in town. He retired from Meyer Equipment in 1992. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed four wheeling in his jeep. He loved spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn, daughter Linda and (Jerry) Duclon, of Elizabeth, CO, two sons, David and (Alberta) Hicks of King City and James Hicks of King City. Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. One sister Barbera and one brother Robert. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Lou Blair.
