David Allen Allred, 58 of King City passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014.
David was born November 5, 1956 in King City. After graduating from King City High School, he worked for Greenfield School District as a bus driver and then for Greenfield Police Department while earning his Associate Degree in Administration of Justice at Gavilan College in Gilroy.
David went on to become a Monterey County Deputy Sheriff in King City, where he was known as the "Gentle Giant", and retired after 30 years of dedicated service to the job. He had a big heart and took great pride in his job. He was fair, honest, treated everyone with respect and he was there for anyone who needed something.
David married Debbie Uccelli and they have two children, Jon Allred and Jeremy Allred. David and Debbie were married for 33 years. David, who played football growing up, enjoyed fishing, hunting and roping. His favorites were salmon and tuna fishing.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie and their two sons, Jon and Jeremy; sister, Denise; mother, Billie June; grandmother, Jessie Taylor; aunt, Cathy (Harry) Smith; uncle, RC Taylor; sister-in-law, Annette Uccelli; niece. Athena (Marty) Mayden; brother-in-laws, Richard (Gina) Uccelli, Jeff (Rex Marinaro) Uccelli; mother-in-law, Carolyn Uccelli. nephews, Dominic and Gino; and numerous great niece, nephews and cousins.
David is preceded in death by his father, Troy Allred.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A Celebration of Life for David is scheduled for, 1pm, Monday, December 8, 2014 in the Pavilion Building of the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division Street, King City. Casual attire is requested.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of your choice in his behalf.
