Daniel James Patterson, 75 of Arroyo Seco, Calif. passed away Monday, November 6, 2012 at his home.
Daniel was born January 21, 1937 in Gonzales, Calif. to Thomas Alfred and Olive Fine Patterson. He attended Gonzales schools and graduated from Gonzales High School in 1955 where he excelled in football and baseball.
Daniel married his high school sweetheart, Rita Rose Nunes in 1955 and they recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. He proudly served in the US Army from September 12, 1956 to April 15, 1960. He was a 40 year Union Journeyman Electrician. He was very proud to have been a member of IBEW and Local 234. His past memberships include, native Sons of the Golden West. He was a current member of the Arroyo Seco Citizens Association, Board Member of the So.Mo.Co. Fire Protection District, also member and official photographer of the Wild West History Association. He enjoyed breeding and raising birds. He was instrumental in the building and completion of Station 2 in Arroyo Seco.
Daniel is survived by his wife Rita; children, Beverly Patterson, Elaine (Mitchell) Bennett, Dan (Toni) Patterson, Chris Patterson, Michele (David) silva; Grandchildren, Trevor, Shaine, Lindsay, Thomas, Bianca, Whitney, Morgan and Jordan; great grandchildren, Eli, Noah and Hayden; sister, Bettie Emberson, Carldene Rollman and Charlene Day. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Anthony (Tony) Patterson in 1975.

A Celebration of Life was held 12 noon, Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the De Anza Building in San Lorenzo Park, King City.
