Cruz Vega Medina, 75 of King City passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Mee Memorial Hospital in King City with his family at his side.
VISITATION / ROSARY Service:
A Visitation is scheduled 4pm followed by a 6pm Rosary service, Thursday, February 2nd at St. John's Catholic Church, King City.
FUNERAL MASS:
A Funeral Mass is scheduled 10am, Friday, February 3rd at St. John's Catholic Church, King City.
INTERMENT:
Mr. Medina will be laid to rest in King City District Cemetery
Mr. Medina was born in CD Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico. At the age of 18 he came to the United States looking for employment and a better life. He lived in Brownsville, Texas and worked in construction and agriculture. His work took him to the Imperial Valley and Calexico. He finally arrived in California in 1974. He settled in King City and worked for McCarthy farms and lastly for Basic Vegetable Products where he retired after 25 years. Mr. Vega was a member of Teamsters Local 890.
Mr. Medina was a hard worker and always took pride in being able to provide for his family. He enjoyed watching boxing on television, doing tile work, going for walks and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and father.
Mr. Medina is survived by his wife, Maria Medina; daughter, Norma Medina; brothers, Jose Vega, Jose Angel Vega and sister, Juanita Vega.
