Norman "Craig" Potts, 72 of King City passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 in King City.  Craig was born January 11, 1952 in San Mateo, California.

Craig attended grammar school in King City and was a graduate of King City High School.  He entered the US Army in 1972. His tour of duty lasted until December of 1975.

He enjoyed BBQing, doing yard work, making BBQ pits, listening to music, playing music trivia games, hanging out with his kids, and sitting on the beach in Cayucos with his family and friends for over 35 years.  Craig was a 49er faithful and a San Francisco Giants fan.

Craig's parents, Norman and Ruth Potts were the owners of the Original A&W Restaurant located on the 400 block of Broadway.  He worked there alongside his family until selling it to Bill and Sally Sirak who moved it to the 900 block of Broadway across from the high school.

Craig is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gayle; children, Josh (Jessica) Potts, Jeremy (Shannon) Potts, Shay Potts, Shelby (Troy) Morales; his grandchildren, Nick Potts, Vanessa Potts, Jackson Potts, Ryan Potts, Julianne Potts, and his forever friend, Paul Hernandez.  Craig is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sally Sirak and Susan Luna Potts.

A Celebration of Life is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the family home, 44734 Sun Valley Drive, King City.
