Columba Marquez Beffa was born December 31, 1940, in the mining town of Mineral Del Monte, Hidalgo, Mexico.  She married Adrian Beffa on Valentine's Day 1960. Columba was quite adventurous and tenacious.  Her independent nature was an encouragement to her children.  Columba was an excellent cook and loved to dance.  She was an avid crafter including sewing, crochet and knitting.  While working in the local packing sheds, she earned her nursing assistant certificate and became a caregiver to several local residents ultimately including her spouse.  Columba attended Holy Trinity Church in Greenfield, CA.

Columba is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Adrian, and their daughter, Sonia.

Survived by daughters Liz Leet, Frida Gonzales, Lorena Beffa, Morelia Beffa, and son Brenno Beffa; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

We would like to thank our Big Sister, Liz for her devotion and sacrifice.  Her loving care for our mother will always and forever be remembered.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, 429 Bassett St., in King City. Following the service, Columba will be laid to rest beside her husband in the King City Cemetery.
