Clyde Dwain McCollough, of Greenfield passed away, Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born in Kingston, Arkansas May 4, 1934. He came to Greenfield with his family at the age of seven. He attended Greenfield and King City schools. He enlisted in the Army in 1954 serving two years including a tour of duty in Korea.
Clyde served the City of Greenfield as a reserve police officer and volunteer fireman. He enjoyed roping and riding for the Topo Ranch on his favorite horse, "Old Grey". Clyde owned and operated McCollough's Service Station in Greenfield for 25 years. In retirement he drove tractor for his brother Fred Lee at his dairy in Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Elma McCollough; sisters, Eula Morgantini and Druecilla Gurley; brothers, Melvin, Glenn, Fred Lee, Sonny and son, Norman McCollough. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Virginia; son, Rod (Cathy) McCollough of Susanville; grandchildren, Robert McCollough, Rita Burke, Jennifer (Justin) Ashworth, Alison McCollough, Samantha McCollough and two great grandsons, Mason and Wyatt Ashworth; sister, Paula (David) Aguilar.
At Clyde's request, no services will be held.
