Charley McWilliams Ross, 90 of King City passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Charley was born March 18, 1928 Midwest, Wyoming.
After high school Charley entered the US Army were he became a Military Policeman. He was married for forty-five years to the love of his life, Carmen Rosario Ross. They lived in Vacaville, Calif., there Charley worked for Basic American Foods. He soon was transferred to King City where he continued to work for Basic Vegetable Products. He and Carmen opened a Montgomery Ward's Catalogue Store on Broadway for several years. He also worked as a truck driver for Truck-A-Way for many years. He was a parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church.
Charley enjoyed leatherworking, stamp collecting and he had a passion for photography. This led him to purchase King Photo Center. He could be found on Friday nights filming the High School football games for many years. He worked part-time at the Reel Joy Theater on the 200 block of Broadway in King City as a Projectionist. He also worked as a photographer for the King City Rustler Newspaper. He enjoyed history the English language. Charley eventually had to retire to care for his ailing wife.
Charley is survived by his children, Carmen Silva, Thomas Ross, Rachael Barbee, Elaine Deblois, Gerard Ross, Patricia Deblois, Philip Ross and Cheryl Justice; 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen; and son Fred.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 in the King City District Cemetery.
