Obituary
Cesario Villasenor, 82 of San Lucas passed away on June 7, 2014, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
Cesario was born in Buena Vista, Municipal of Quadalazar San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Alejandro and Daria Villasenor on February 25, 1932. At the age of 16 Cesario had the pleasure of traveling to Laureles, Texas with his uncle Manuel. Several years later he married Juanita Requena and they both decided to move to the United States. Upon arriving Cesario embraced America and was so proud to have become a United States Citizen. His joy was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed horseback riding, rodeos, a good meal, and mariachi music.
Cesario had fond memories of dedicated, hard-working co-workers, whom later would be dear friends of the family. He enjoyed the fact that his career in agriculture had led him to work with entrepreneur's that shaped this great Salinas Valley. He also had the pleasure of participating in the movement of Cesar Chavez .Upon retiring Cesario had the pleasure of working part-time at San Lucas School. He loved the idea that all staff including the children respected him as a grandfather and that they called him by "Grandpa".
Cesario is survived by his wife, Juanita of 61 years, his 8 children; Ernestina, Eustolia, Loretta, Juan, Maria del Rosario, Erlinda, Ilda, and Irma; 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A VISITATION is scheduled, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 12th at St. John's Catholic church in King City.
A RECITATION of the ROSARY will be at 7:00 p.m., June 12th, at St. John's Catholic Church in King City.
A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 13th, with Reverend Claudio Cabrera Carranza of St. John's Catholic Church officiating.
Memorials may be made to Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Heart Center or the VNA Nurses. The family wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Father Claudio Cabrera Carranza of St John's Catholic Church and to the many devoted family and friends for all their love, support and prayers.
