Obituary

Cecil "Jim" Milford Duckworth 93, of King City, he was born on September 20, 1918 and left us on August 3, 2012.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A FUNERAL SERVICE is scheduled to be held, 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012 at Eddington Funeral Service Chapel.

BURIAL will be at Williams-Duckworth Cemetery, Priest Valley, Calif. following the service.

Cecil was born to Milford & Gladys (Campbell) Duckworth; he served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1941-1945 and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands and in the Philippines and was honorably discharged as a T-Corporal. During his military service he married his 1st wife Socorra and in 1945 they had their daughter Cecilia. He then went on to serve in the civil service until he retired from El Toro Marine Base.

He lived in Nebraska for many years until he moved back to King City to be near his loving family after the death of his 2nd wife Charlene. He loved to make beautiful jewelry with beads and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter Cecilia (William) Armitage of Pahrump NV, his grandchildren William E, Aaron, Curtis, and Kimberly Armitage, and several grandchildren. Brothers Bob (Irene) of Priest Valley, Len (Juanita) of San Ardo, Hank (Irene), and Clint (Pat) Duckworth of King City, and Sister Jerry (Billy) Press of King City. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Cleo Duckworth and Lois Davis, brother Edward Duckworth.

Pallbearers will be Joe Duckworth, William Duckworth, Craig Press, Tom Shepherd, Luis Morales and Brandon Gillett. The Honorary pallbearers are Allen Duckworth and Allen Duckworth Jr.
