IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Ann
Mullanix
September 29, 1951 – February 13, 2019
Carolyn Mullanix passed away February 13, 2019 in Monterey, California.
Carolyn Morgan was born in Oklahoma to Carl and Letha Morgan along with 12 other siblings. Her toddler years were filled with the trek from Oklahoma to California where her family found a home in the Sacramento area. Childhood was one of working along side of her brothers, sister, and parents as share croppers. When her family was called into ministry, she became her father's right hand as he became a pastor. Soon their lives were filled with quartets and church planting. Those were her fondest days. It was during this time she found two of her greatest loves; the love of singing in the church, and the love of her life Don Mullanix. After dating for 5 years she married him April 27, 1969 and remained married to him 49 years and 10 months. 1969 the Summer of Love soon turned into the Fall of the Draft and once again Carolyn's life changed drastically. Carolyn joined Don in Germany where she had the First of two children, Carla. Upon returning to the states they followed her parents Carl and Letha and moved to King City. 7 years later she gave birth to her second Child, Shon. Carolyn's world was her God her Husband, Her Children, and Family.
During her adult life she worshiped her Lord at the First Baptist Church of King City, First Southern Baptist of Greenfield, and the New Life Missional Church of King City. She sang on many choirs and at many 5 th Sunday sings. Her days were filled with taking care of her family, working as a Yard Duty Supervisor, and being a tremendous Prayer Warrior.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Don Mullanix. Her Children, Shon Mullanix and Carla Mullanix-Ackerman. Her Grandchildren, Morgann, Marti, Christian, Shaylee, Owen, and Jonathon. Her Great- Grandchild – Scarlett. Also remaining are her two brothers, Larry and Ronnie Morgan.
Services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Eddington Funeral Home. Graveside services at noon at King City Cemetery. Reception will be at First Baptist Church in King City. Viewing will be Friday, February 22, 2019 6-7 for Family, 7-8 All at Eddington Funeral Home.
On February 13 th the Lord called this beautiful woman to come home. She left but before she died, she gave instructions to those who were blessed to share those last moments. Those instructions sum up this great woman – she said for all of us "TO LOVE".
