Carmen Rocha Escoto, of King City passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the age of 100. She was born September 12, 1913 in Ayotlan, Jalisco, Mexico.
Carmen married Apolonio Escot0 and together they had 10 children. They moved to the United States and Carmen has been living in Monterey County for 40 years. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For the most part, Carmen was a caring mother and homemaker, but she also found time to work for Frudden Packing and Meyer Tomatoes.
Survivors include her children; Guadalupe Escoto, Jose Escoto, Apolonio Escoto, Alfredo Escoto, Maria Barajas, Carmen Escoto, Laurdes Lopez and Rosa Romyor; forty-five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Maria Urtado and Trina Rocha. She is preceded in death by her husband, Apolonio Escoto; son, David Escoto and two grandchildren.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A VISITATION will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Eddington Funeral Services.
A RECITATION of the ROSARY will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Eddington Funeral Services.
A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 at ST. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City.
INTERMENT will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2014 in King City District Cemetery, 1010 Broadway, King City.
