Obituary

Clarence Calverne Sayler, 89 of Lockwood passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at his home.  He was born August 17, 1935 in Paso Robles, Calif.

Calverne grew up in Lockwood and attended Lockwood Elementary and graduated King City High School in 1953.  He was a Farmer and Ag Mechanic most all his life working for himself and also as a mechanic at Fort Hunter Liggett.  He enjoyed Folk Art Model Making, fishing, deep sea fishing, was an animal lover and a proud Republican. He was involved with the Sportsmen Assoc., Nacitone Museum (Director), Pioneer Day Committee (Grand Marshall of Pioneer Day, 2015).

Calverne is survived by his wife, Linda Grace Sayler; sons, Kraig Calverne Sayler, Kevin Robert Sayler; daughter, Stephanie Marie Sayler; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister, Glenda Rodman.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Glenwood Sayler and Irma Lucille (Stackdale) Sayler and his first wife, Sylvia Marie (Pacheco) Sayler.
