Beverly Jean Magill, 84, beloved wife of the late Robert B. Magill, died peacefully in her home in King City, California on March 12, 2014. Bev, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was born and raised in the Fowler, CA area, the daughter of the late Fred and Frances Briscoe. She graduated from Fowler High School and was married to her high school sweetheart, Bob, for 46 years.   During their marriage, they resided in Salinas, CA, San Carlos, CA. and retired in 1993 to King City.

Bev first worked in the Fowler Floral Shop, raised her 3 children, then returned to work as a teacher's aide for the Washington Elementary School District. Later, she joined the staff at Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore, CA., retiring in 1993.

Bev enjoyed cooking with a vast library of cookbooks, sewing, crafts, genealogy, square dancing, playing pinochle and Bridge with friends, and extensive travel throughout the U.S. and Europe. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and the King City Silver Kings and Queens. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.

Bev is survived by her sister, Juanita Gilmore of Del Rey, CA.; children Gayle (Rupert) Asuncion, Pam Gill and Marc Magill; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family is especially grateful to her wonderful care providers, Mary Eckert and Kris Eckert, who lovingly provided tender care and friendship.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service, 2pm, Monday, March 17, 2014 at Eddington Funeral Chapel, 333 E. San Antonio Drive, King City.

A Graveside service will be held, 11am, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Fowler District Cemetery, 8523 S. Fowler Ave., Fowler, CA 93625.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bev's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 21 Lower Ragsdale Dr. Monterey, CA 93940 or the charity of your choice.
