IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Berenice M.
Gomez
September 2, 1995 – May 27, 2024
Berenice M. Gomez, 28 of Paso Robles passed away May 27, 2024 in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She was born September 2, 1995 in Salinas, Calif.
Berenice studied at Hartnell College before transferring to California State University, Chico where she studied in Plant Sciences. She applied her skills learned at school and work experiences to pursue a career in the wine/viticulture industry. She wanted to learn and experience every aspect of the industry so that one day she could have her own winery. She worked at and was a universally loved co-worker and friend at well-respected wineries such as Ferrari Carano in Healdsburg, Tooth & Nail and Justin in Paso Robles.
While attending CSU Chico, Berenice was an active member of the Crops Club in the Department of Agriculture. Berenice was also a member of the Young Farmers and Ranchers groups through the Farm Bureaus while living in the Paso Robles and Napa areas.
Berenice was a passionate gardener and always had lots of plants wherever she lived. Berenice was also a gifted drawer and painter. She would often draw during her spare time. She also had a love of being outdoors where she would ride her bike, walk, or hike, especially during wildflower season. She enjoyed traveling, wine tasting, and exploring the areas that she lived in.
Berenice was a strong willed, independent, and compassionate person that made the world a brighter and better place. Often, she would offer her wine and succulents to her coworkers and friends to help brighten their day. She would put others over herself even in times when she was in need. She was always a loved and valued friend that could be relied on in tough situations. She also had a competitive side, whether it was card games, basketball, or board games. She loved to compete and win in all different types of challenges.
Thank you to all her friends for the love, support and all of the memories. Thank you to Orion, Jeremy and Shawna for all the knowledge that they shared. Berenice would always talk about how she loved being a nanny for the Juanitos. She was very proud of their progress in school and hoped that they continued in school.
Berenice is survived by her parents, Ramiro Gomez and Leticia Murillo; sisters, Leticia Gomez and Lizzett Gomez; and her fiancé, Carson DiCicco
Visitation, Rosary and Funeral Mass services were held on Monday and Tuesday, June 3rd and 4th, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Berenice was laid to rest in the Holy Trinity Cemetery following the services.
