Obituary

Antonio "Tony" R. Hernandez, 55 of King City passed away on March 21, 2014. Tony was born October 29, 1958 in Salinas, Calif. He was the oldest of his siblings.

Tony graduated from Palma High School in 1976. There he participated in football. He went on to Hartnell College where he met his future wife, Dalia Bianchi. They were married December 1980. Together they had twins, Andrew and Amanda.

Tony was a parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church and member of their Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the National Postmasters, past King City Lions Club Member and President. He was a past King City Men's Golf Club member. Tony enjoyed golfing, playing cards, the Dallas Cowboys and going to San Francisco Giants games. He cherished his time spent with his family.

Tony had recently retired from his 34 years working with the U.S. Postal Service. He started as a carrier and clerk in the King City office. He was a past Postmaster in the Jolon, Chular and Greenfield, Calif. offices and his latest in Hawaii.

Tony is survived by his wife, Dalia; children, Andrew and Amanda; his mother-in-law, Thelma Bianchi; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Miner; mother, Gloria Hernandez; siblings, Alex (Tish) Hernandez, Andy (Cathy) Hernandez, Delia Bueno, Ramiro (Melissa) Hernandez, Jr., numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Tony is preceded in death by his father, Ramiro Hernandez; father-in-law, Stefano Bianchi and grandson Xander Stefano Hernandez.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Visitation is scheduled for 5pm to 8pm, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Eddington Funeral Services, 333 E. San Antonio Drive, King City.

A recitation of the Rosary and Celebration of Funeral Mass will be 10am, Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City, Calif.  Interment will follow in King City District Cemetery.
