Antonio R. Montemayor, 81 of King City passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012.
Mr. Montemayor, many called him Tony, was born February 21, 1931 in Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. As a child he came to the United States with his family. They lived in Weslaco, Texas. In the early 1960's Tony moved his family to California. He worked in agriculture as a field worker. He eventually went to work for Cal Compact Foods, Inc. where he retired after 34 years. He then started his own produce business called "Tony's Produce" which he owned and operated for 20 plus years. He eventually opened Tony & Tommy's Electronics.
He enjoyed talking to people. He was a very out going, friendly and generous. He was a loving and caring father. Tony was a past member of Teamsters Local 890 and member of Sociedad Guadalupana.
Tony is survived by his wife, Maria; sons, Jose Antonio, Ramon, Jesse, and Rolando Montemayor; daughters, Yolanda Ortega, Emma Guerrero and Yennifer Montemayor; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Armando and Fidel Montemayor; sisters, Rosa Zamorano, Yolanda Castaneda and Maria Ochoa.
A VISITATION will be held from 3pm - 5pm, Monday, March 19th at St. John's Catholic Church. A ROSARY SERVICE will follow at 5pm.
FUNERAL MASS will be held 10am, Tuesday, March 19th at St. John's Catholic Church. INURNMENT will follow at a later date in King City District Cemetery.
