A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Nample Home, 45122 Palomino Rd. in King City.
Our wonderful, loving, caring wife, mom, nana, and great grandma left us on August 11th after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of Spanish immigrants and was born and raised in Vacaville, CA. She married our Dad, Richard, her high school sweetheart in 1951. Mom and Dad made Vacaville their home where Dad worked for Basic Vegetables and Mom for Bank of America.
After Mark, Becky, Alicia, and Cindy arrived our family was complete. We moved to King City in 1966 with Dad's transfer to Basic's facility and the adventure began at the 6-N Ranch in Pine Canyon. Mom worked as the office manager for Casey Newspapers for many years while still finding time to be a great mother involved in all of our activities including school, 4-H, FFA, and rodeo. She loved country life, gardening, cooking, and the menagerie of animals that became part of the family.
After 20 years in Auburn, Mom and Dad moved back to King City to be near family and old friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she was their biggest fan. Mom continued to stay busy with the Mee Memorial Service League, Silver Kings and Queens, and St. John's Church.
Annie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard, brother Don (Jan) Moriel of El Macero, son Mark of Fresno, daughters Becky (Francis) Giudici, Alicia Nample, Cindy (George) Salcido all of King City, grandchildren, Kade (Paula), Keston, Karse, Mackenzie, and 7 week old great-grandson, Clayton.
Although gone from our side the memories, love, and encouragement of Mom will always be a part of our spirit. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make donations to King City High's Mustang Bench, King City Rural 4-H, or King City Riding Club.
