Anita and Jim moved to Salinas, California in the early 1950's. They then moved to King City in the early 1957 where they raised their children. She and Jim opened Tri's Food Liner at the corner of So. Third St. and Bassett St. for many years before moving it to the 300 block of Broadway. After retiring from the fair Anita went on to work for Butler Amusements, 1987 - 2008. Here she was the "Ultimate Carnie Lady". She truly loved her work. It was probably her favorite job. She handled contracts and banking for them. Anita eventually settled in Castroville to be near family.
Anita enjoyed gardening. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing it. She played bridge with friends, doing crossword puzzles, reading and being with family and friends. Anita really loved just being with people.
