Obituary

Americo (Lazzie) Lazzaroni, 89 of Greenfield, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at his home with his family at his side.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, 10am, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church followed by a gathering at the Greenfield Memorial Hall.

Americo was born January 6, 1923 in Gordola, Canton, Ticino, Switzerland to Santino and Nella Lazzaroni. He came to the United States at the age of 3. Lazzie began driving bulldozer in his early 20's and continued until his mid 80's. He was in partnership with G. Rava for many years. His last job was with the F.B.I., Franscioni Brothers, Inc.

He enjoyed going to the casinos, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor. He was a member of the Silver King s and Queens, the Swiss American Club and was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Lazzie married Lucy Rolandi in 1944 and together had four children. He is survived by his children, Diane Lazzaroni (Joe Pedraza) of Greenfield, Mike (Cindy) Lazzaroni of Gilbert, Arizona, Patricia (Carl) Shaug of King City and Debbie (Michael) Zamora of Greenfield; ten grandchildren, Britney, Lindsey, Ashley, Aaron, Heather, Kaitlyn, Tiffany, Paul, A.J. and Jose; six great grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Mia, Nicholas, Allison and Santino.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Lazzaroni; his parents Santino and Nella Lazzaroni; sister, Liz Bosio and brothers, Hugo and Mario Lazzaroni.
