Amada Arjelia Rodriguez Suarez, 89, of King City, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2021, with her family by her side.

She was born on May 13, 1932, to Alfonso and Catalina Rodriguez "on the mountain" in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. In 1948 she met the love her life, Victor Suarez, in Baja California. They moved to King City in 1953, where they established roots and raised their family. Upon her arrival to the Salinas Valley, she worked as a farm laborer. She then opened a coffee shop inside the Town Club that was located in King City which she managed for a little over a year. After that, she worked as a machine operator at Basic Vegetables and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union for approximately 30 years.

As Amada grew older, she found joy in watching her novellas, singing and worshiping at St. John's Catholic Church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for them and attempting to teach them her delicious recipes. She had a weakness for sweets and animals. Frequent visits from her family always brought a smile to her face. Her welcoming and caring demeanor brought instant comfort to all who were in her presence.

Amada is preceded in death by her husband, Victor, brothers Manuel, Alfonso and Alberto Rodriguez and grandson, Albert. She is survived by her brothers Mario (Miriam) and Alfonso, her children, Victor (Beatriz), Graciela (Ismael), Leonicio (Lorida), Fernando (Lupe), Jesus, Steban and Angelica (Bruce); her grandchildren, Margarita (Joe), Ismael II, Julia, Claudia, Israel, Mona, Imelda, Desiree, JJ-Chepe (Stephanie), Jesse (Kris), Maritza, Jesus Jr., Vanessa, Joel, Anthony, Christopher (Irene), Laura (Jorge), Andrea, Michael and Elijah; her great grandchildren, Jasmine (Rawley), Jacob, Anthony, Alexus, Andrew Andrade, Timothy, Ida, Elijah, Andrew Arias, Christian, Elysia, Malik, Michael, Bryanna, Erika, Rodrigo, Jaylen, Isis, Valerie, Evangaline, Victor, Catalina, Genesis, Faith, Hope, Andrew Sanchez, Destiny, Angel, Moises, Mathius, Jasiah, Amaya, Emiliano, Samuel, Adaleigh, Ezra, Hannah, Aiden, Nathaniel, her great great grandson Lane and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our beloved "Nenita, Ama, Grandma, Abuelita, Nana, Nana Coco and Tatarabuela" will be missed by many.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Visitation from 4pm – 6pm, followed by a 6pm Rosary Service will be held on Thursday, June 10 ^th , at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held 10am, Friday, June 11 ^th , at St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in King City District Cemetery.
