Alfonso Barbosa passed away on April 12, 2022 at the age of 78 in Salinas, CA surrounded by his love ones who will continue to honor his legacy.   He was born in San Martin de Hidalgo, Jalisco Mexico on October 11, 1943

As an adolescent he overcame challenges and moved his way to the North to seek a better life for his family.  He never forgot where he came from and was very proud of becoming a United State Citizen.

He was a hardworking man who raised a large loving and united family.   He was a simple, humble, honest, and caring man who loved his family and spending quiet evening at home with his partner Linda Hurt.  He always provided blessings, advice, words of wisdom and encouragements.  He taught the importance of family values.  He will be greatly missed

He is preceded in death by his spouse, Guadalupe Barbosa; his great grandchild, Jayden Barbosa; his parents, Francisco and Soledad Barbosa; his siblings, Maria Barbosa Rodriguez, Ingracia Barbosa Ortega, Jose Luis Barbosa.

He is survived by his children, Juan Gomez, Maria Barbosa, Alfonso Barbosa, Sylvia Barbosa, Alicia Guzman, Francisco Barbosa, Anita Ramirez; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; his siblings, Lucy Barbosa, Rudy Barbosa, Francisco Barbosa, Miguel Barbosa, Jesus Barbosa, Hilda Barbosa, Blanca Barbosa, Norma Barbosa

A Viewing and Rosary will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022.  Viewing will start between 4:00-6:00 pm; and the Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, 429 Bassett Street, King City.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Saint John's Catholic Church, 504 North 3rd Street, King City.
