Albin Charlie Morisoli, 93 of Soledad passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.  He was born January 23, 1930 in Salinas, California.  Albin's parents, Joseph and Carolina immigrated through Ellis Island from Monte Carasso, Switzerland.

Albin was a 1948 graduate of Gonzales High School.  He and Claramae Mendez were married in St. John's Catholic Church, King City, Calif., on April 20, 1952.  They were married for 71 years.

Albin enjoyed family gatherings, hunting and playing cards.  He was a member of the Monterey County Swiss Rifle Club and Silver Kings & Queens.

He converted the family dairy into a row crop farm.  When Highway 101 divided the farm, Albin built a Mobile Home Park on the Soledad side. He continued construction building a Mobile Home Park and several subdivisions in the King City area.  He improved a large cattle ranch, which he enjoyed exploring in his later years.  He worked hard his entire life to insure his family was provided for.

He is survived by his wife, Claramae, children, David (Yvonne) Morisoli, Diane (Dan) Johnson, Alan (Leona) Morisoli, Mark (Jo Anna) Morisoli; grandchildren, Cynthia (Kevin) Martella, Brian (Luli) Johnson, Kristen (Nathan) Gelos, Cody Morisoli, Heidi (Dale) McHaney, Chase (Chelsey) Morisoli, Samantha (Chant) Deforest, Destini (Craig) Cavalletto; great grandchildren,  Devon, Bailee, Edward, Olivia, Inez, Emilio, Charlotte, Elsa, Zachary, Zane, Miles, Drexton, Carter, Karson, Cooper, Hallie, Jersey, Ben, Conner and Kendall; sister, Ilda Caraccioli.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Alice Ostini.

A Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Eddington Funeral Chapel, 429 Bassett St., in King City.

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am, Friday, September 8, 2023 at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church, 235 Main St., Soledad.  Albin will be laid to rest in the Gonzales District Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will follow in the gathering hall of Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church following the services.
