Alberta Rist, 91 of King City passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home on the family ranch with her family by her side.  Alberta was born February 4, 1927 in Madison Illinois.
In Illinois, Alberta was a metal worker during WWII.  She came to the King City area after the war and there is where she met her future husband, Armond Rist.  They say she had a plan that included a plate of homemade biscuits, and it worked.  Two months later, on November 21, 1945 they were married.  Together they had three children, Anna, Armond and Bill.  They were married for 61 years.

She enjoyed playing pedro, crossword puzzles, writing letters, visiting with family and friends, cooking, and helping with Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box.  She was a member of the Grange,  Silver Kings ad Queens,  First Baptist Church in King City and was a past 4-H Leader.

Alberta is preceded in death by her husband, Armond Rist, Sr.  She is survived by her daughter, Anna (Rist) Langen and husband Robert; sons, Armond Rist, Jr. (Monny) and wife Ann, Bill Rist and wife Robin, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Russ and King Street in King City, Calif.  Alberta will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Armond in King City District Cemetery following the church services.
