Albert "Abby" Andrade, 80 of King City passed away February 27, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. Albert was born September 21, 1933 in San Lucas, California. His family and friends affectionately called him "Abby".
Abby attended San Lucas Grammar School and King City High School. He served in the US Army, 1953 to 1955. He worked for El Rey Milling Co. and he was an officer on the King City Police Dept. and later took a position with Union Carbide as a Shipping Foreman. His latest employment was with William Clark Trucking Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Marian Andrade; his brothers, Manuel, John, Tony and Pete; sisters, Marie Slavins, Carol Adamoli and Maggi Guidotti.
Abby is survived by his wife of 58 yrs., Fleta Andrade; daughters, Adene Andrade and Alberta (David) Hicks; son, Anthony Andrade; grandson Jason (Tracy) Hicks; granddaughter, Jenny Hicks and her fiancé Wesley Blair; great grandchildren, Sidney Torres, Matthew Carazales, Tray and Whitney Hicks, Boston and Brooklyn Monroy; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm followed by a recitation of the Rosary at 7pm on Monday, March 3, 2014 and a Funeral Mass will be held 10 am, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third Street, King City. Burial will follow at King City District Cemetery.
